Updated
- 90 oz Container

- 10 years Warranty
- 1,800 W Power (as stated)
Pros
- Sealed sound enclosure around the jar keeps noise down
- 1800 W motor, up from 1560 W on the Classic and Designer
- Ten-year warranty, the longest on any Blendtec home model
- 11-speed touch slider plus six preset cycles
- Blendtec also sells it certified refurbished
Cons
- Most expensive Blendtec home blender by a wide margin
- Jar holds 90 oz but its markings stop at 36 oz
- Blendtec doesn't publish its height with the enclosure on
- Best for
- Open-plan kitchens and early risers who blend daily and want the quietest Blendtec with the longest cover.
- Not for
- Buyers watching the budget; the Designer 650 has the same jar and as many presets for much less.
Our verdict
The Professional 800 is Blendtec's answer to the main complaint about high-speed blenders: the noise. A sealed, clear enclosure closes over the jar while it runs, and Blendtec pitches it as quiet enough to talk next to. Behind it is an 1800 W motor, shared only with the new Zakarian Pro in the home range, with an 11-step touch slider, pulse and six preset cycles.
It also carries the longest cover in the lineup: ten years on a new unit, against eight for the Designer 650 and two for the Classic models. The jar is the same 90 oz WildSide+ used across the range, so the differences from the Designer are noise, power and warranty rather than the jar.
What the extra money buys is quiet, a bit more power and two more years of warranty. If noise isn't a problem in your kitchen, the Designer 650 covers the same jobs.
