Our verdict
Vitamix launched the VX1 in February 2026 as its new entry-level blender, and retailers describe it as taking over the slot the Explorian E310 filled. It pairs a 2.2 HP motor with the classic 64 oz container used on the 5200, a variable speed dial, pulse and a self-cleaning program. There are no presets and no timer.
Against the E310 it brings a larger container and a higher motor rating, but its warranty is five years limited rather than the E310 five years full. Against the 5200 it is the newer and lower-priced machine, while the 5200 keeps a warranty two years longer.
The catch is height. With the tall 64 oz container it stands 19.6 inches, so it will not sit under most wall cabinets. Vitamix says it accepts its 48 oz containers and the Personal Cup Adapter if you want something shorter or a single-serve cup.
